Terms and conditions
The service
Solo Felice di Tanja Greisen rents transparent kayaks for excursions along the coast of western Sardinia. We are not a registered tour operator. We rent kayak equipment and safety gear and provide an accompanying person on the water as a leisure activity service. Meeting points depend on weather and sea conditions and are communicated to you in advance, typically via WhatsApp.
Booking and payment
Bookings are made through our online system. Selected seats are held for 30 minutes; if payment is not completed in time, the reservation is released. The price is €65 per seat. Children under 125 cm do not require their own seat when accompanied by an adult. Only one child per adult may be booked under this rule. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. Booking confirmations are sent by email via Resend.
Season and availability
We are generally open from 15 March to 15 October. Outside this period, excursions are not available. Within the season, availability depends on weather, sea conditions, and capacity (maximum 12 participants per excursion). We may offer an alternative date or time if your chosen slot is unavailable.
Participation requirements
Each kayak has a maximum total weight of 200 kg. Participants must follow the accompanying person's instructions and use provided safety equipment, including life jackets. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. You must not participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Water activities involve inherent risks — including capsizing, collision, and cold water shock — which you accept by participating.
Cancellations and refunds by you
If you cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled excursion, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel 48 hours or less before the excursion, no refund is given. No-shows on the day receive no refund. To cancel, contact info@solofelice.com with your booking reference. Cancellation is only valid once confirmed by us in writing. Note: the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure service bookings covering a specific date (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 59(l)).
Cancellations by us
If we must cancel due to unsafe weather or sea conditions, or any other circumstance beyond our reasonable control, we will offer to reschedule or provide a full refund for the affected booking. No further compensation is owed.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Italian law, Solo Felice is not liable for indirect damages, loss or destruction of your personal belongings brought on the excursion — including electronic devices such as phones and cameras — or events outside our reasonable control. You are liable for any damage to rented kayaks or equipment caused by misuse, negligence, or failure to follow instructions. Our liability for other matters is limited to the amount you paid for the affected booking. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Oristano, Italy, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence within the EU. By completing a booking and accepting these terms, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you agree to these terms and the privacy notice above.
